Enrollment Period
Eligible faculty and staff employees may enroll in health and insurance benefits within 31 days after their date of hire, during the annual open enrollment (in November) and/or within 31 days (62 days for birth of baby) after a qualified family status change or life event.
Effective Date
Health and insurance benefits coverage for eligible faculty and staff employees will be effective on their date of rehire/hire. Changes to health and insurance benefit coverage due to a life event or job change will be effective as of the date of the event, provided that the change is made, and any required supporting documents are provided in a timely manner. For more information, refer to the Guidelines for Health Care Benefits Enrollment and Changes. Changes made to health and insurance elections during the annual Open Enrollment period in November are effective January 1 of the subsequent year.

You will receive an automated email/task in your Workday inbox notifying you that you are eligible to enroll in your health and insurance benefits and that you have 31 days from your hire date to make your enrollment elections.
