A Guide to Healthy Summer Eating

Summer is here, and it is a time for grilling, swimming, road trips and outdoor activities.  This summer, make a plan to enjoy healthy recipes, fresh produce and treats! Wellness Connection offers opportunities to purchase produce from local farmers and attend cooking demos from our MyWay to Health consultants.

Farmers Market

Each week, local farmers are on the WashU campuses offering fresh produce and healthy food options for you and your family. This summer, we’re introducing 2 Men and a Garden, a local salsa vendor with awesome salsa offerings. Learn more about the Farmers Market and CSA crop box program.

Wellness Workshop-WUSM: Cooking with Herbs & Spices

This Wellness Workshop will highlight ways to use a variety of herbs and spices to boost the flavor of foods. We will discuss how to build a diversified spice cabinet to keep the amount of salt we consume at a healthy level.

Wellness Workshop will take place in the MyWay to Health Demonstration Kitchen located on the School of Medicine Campus in the Mid Campus Center, Suite 2100 on June 19. 2019.  Register for the event.
