Star Trak Weekly Challenges

New for this challenge, instead of final incentives, we will be drawing 50 winners each week to receive a $15 Visa gift card. Each week there are at least 2 activities that you can complete (you will receive one entry for each activity you complete) and some weeks there are bonus activities/ events that you can receive additional entries for attending. The winners of the drawings will be notified each week as well as announced in the Wednesday Weekly Winners email to all challenge participants.


Week 1 – The first step is generally the hardest, but most important, so let’s get started together!

  • Post to the Wellness Wall what ways you’re getting active this week
  • Log any activity for 5 days this week

Week 2 – Self-compassion is vital to our health, even the smallest steps will make a difference.

  • Post to the Wellness Wall one mall thing you have implemented or want to implement into your self-care routine
  • Earn 5 stars of any color this week
  • BONUS ENTRY – Attend the Mindfulness Momentum Series: Be Still and Embrace Silence on March 24th from 12:00 – 12:45 p.m.

Week 3 – Gathering together with family, friends, or even coworkers to enjoy a meal can strengthen bonds and is essential to everyone’s well-being.

  • Post to the wellness wall your go-to dish for potlucks or other gatherings.
  • Be an active team member – anyone on a team who logs 5 days or more this week
  • BONUS ENTRY – Attend the MyWay to Health Workshop: Budget Friendly Meal Prep on April 2 from 12:00 – 1:00 p.m. in person or virtually
  • BONUS ENTRY – Join us for the Star Trak Observatory Event hosted by the McDonnell Center for the Space Sciences. See the Moon, Mars, and Jupiter on April 3rd at 8:00 p.m. at Crow Observatory in Crow Hall (limited tickets are available).

Week 4 – Getting out of your comfort zone and trying something new may be stressful at first, but these new experiences can help stimulate the brain to release dopamine and help improve your mood and motivation.

  • Post to the Wellness Wall a new skill or hobby that you want to learn or have recently learned.
  • Push yourself a little this week – earn a yellow or blue star 3 or more days this week.
  • BONUS ENTRY – Attend an interactive experience on the Mars rover hosted by the McDonnell Center for the Space Sciences. Check back for more information!

Week 5 – A little kindness can go a long way, giving joy to both the giver and the receiver.

  • Tell me something good – post an uplifting/ inspiring story you’ve read or heard this week to the Wellness Wall
  • Log 30,000 steps or more this week

Week 6 – Let’s finish strong as we look forward to the changing of the seasons. Find a way to get outside, be present, and take in the beauty that surrounds you.
