Organizations that cultivate a coaching culture are known to have more engaged employees and higher team and individual performance levels. The most successful managers and leaders have the qualities of a great coach. They are committed to developing their teams and providing opportunities for their staff to grow and achieve more.

Today, in the new world of work, managers and leaders must shift from traditional management approaches to more of a coaching role. When managers provide guidance and support through coaching, teams are more high-performing, collaborative, and engaged.

One way to support this is by further developing your skills so that you can take a coaching approach to your management style that fosters a climate of communication and collaboration. Coaching is a highly visible and positive demonstration of your commitment to ongoing personal development and performance improvement. Developing these coaching skills will significantly improve your performance and positively impact the performance of your direct and indirect reports. Leaders who use coaching skills can improve morale, retain key people, provide better customer service in their organizations, and experience higher productivity overall.

Participants will:

  • Examine what is coaching and the manager’s role as coach
  • Explore the impact of coaching on employee development and engagement
  • Understand the shared responsibility for employee development and discover the benefits
  • Learn essential coaching skills needed by managers and leaders
  • Apply practical tools to enhance your coaching skills
  • Leverage coaching to build capabilities and skills of your team for optimum growth
  • Practice how to conduct coaching sessions with your team
