The Department of Psychiatry Employee and Family Clinical Service invites you to a series of webinar presentations focused on relationships. Our interconnectedness with others is a part of being human. We navigate a multitude of relationships in our lives: co-workers, friends, family, neighbors, and more. We hope you join us in this series as we explore some key facets of healthy relationships with others. We will be discussing communication styles and what they have to do with conflict, the critical factors that contribute to relationship health, and how to understand and apply limit-setting for relationship wellbeing.

In this webinar session with the Department of Psychiatry, we will be discussing the key characteristics of a healthy relationship. Being a part of a healthy relationship is dynamic, it takes both parties being attuned to the well-being of one another. We will go over some of the ways we can do our part in fostering relationship health.

We will also explore:

  • How self-awareness around our own and others’ needs can benefit relationship health.
  • How the right kind of communication can foster relationship well-being.
  • How to spot factors that can negatively impact relationship health.
  • Ways to improve relationship health when it needs a boost.
