The IRS conducts annual reviews of the maximum allowable contribution limit to 403(b) plans, including the WashU Retirement Savings Plan. For 2025, the IRS has announced an increase to the maximum allowable contribution limit. Additionally, the catch-up contribution rules are changing to provide a higher limit for those who are between the ages of 60-63. The 2025 contribution limits, including catch-up contributions, are as follows:

To modify your contribution election, visit TIAA.org/wustl and log into your account. From the Accounts dropdown menu, select “Manage Contributions” and follow the prompts. Your changes will take effect as soon as administratively feasible.
