Executive Director, Talent Management

Mark has oversight for recruitment and career and leadership development for all schools on the Danforth campus and for the medical school. His prior experience with the university includes leading the faculty and executive search function for Washington University School of Medicine. Mark led the creation, development and implementation of an in-house faculty and executive recruitment program in accordance with executive search industry best practices.

Before re-joining Washington University, Mark served as Vice President, Managing Principal with Cejka Executive Search, a nationally recognized healthcare executive and physician search firm. Cejka Executive Search ranks among the top five largest health care executive search firms in the U.S., providing services to the health care industry for more than 30 years.

Mark’s more than 20 years of experience in the healthcare industry includes nearly 10 years as a member of Cejka Search where he provided executive search services to a diverse client base including hospitals and health systems and academic institutions. He has a strong understanding of the unique needs and challenges facing each of these organizations and has built a stellar reputation for his ability to produce results, partner effectively, and build long-term client relationships.

Mark’s experience encompasses a wide range of services, including search and recruitment, business development, consulting, management, database development, and oversight of credentials verification. He possesses an exceptional depth of senior level recruitment knowledge and experience. He has a keen understanding of how to assist organizations find the best candidates available for their current and future talent needs.

Mark earned a Master in Health Administration from Washington University School of Medicine and a Bachelor of Science from Washington University in St. Louis.
