Course Description:
Change can be challenging, but effective leadership requires adaptability and resilience. This 90-minute workshop applies the ADKAR Change Model (Awareness, Desire, Knowledge, Ability, Reinforcement) to help participants understand their reactions to change, overcome resistance, and build a strong foundation for inspiring others. Through interactive activities, self-reflection, and leadership commitments, attendees will leave with a clear roadmap for navigating uncertainty and driving positive transformation in their teams and organizations.
Target Audience : This class is for all Washington University in St. Louis staff employees (Leading Self, Others, or the Organization )

As the director of Washington University’s human resources, learning and development, Carla is responsible for setting the strategic direction, developing, and delivering University-wide leadership, management, and professional development programs associated with enhancing leaders’ and employees’ capabilities, organizational culture, and personal and professional effectiveness. For more than three decades, Carla has been helping organizations and leaders achieve their full potential- coaching, facilitating, and speaking on transformational leadership development. Carla is a certified executive and leadership coach with a B.S. in Organizational Management, an M.A. in Leadership and Organizational Development, and an MBA from Washington University Olin Business School.
No-Show and Late Cancellation Fees: Cancellations received less than five (5) business days prior to scheduled class will result in a $50 cancellation fee charged to their department. If you’re no longer able to attend, please drop your registration in Workday Learning.
