Who is in control of your career? If it isn’t you, then it is time for you to learn how to take control of it. This workshop is designed to introduce participants to the stages of career development and the career development model that others have used to successfully advance their careers. Elements of the workshop include self-awareness, career awareness, career exploration, career preparation, job seeking and advancement.
Participants will learn to:
- Create a personal mission statement
- Participate in career interests and abilities self-assessment activities;
- Learn how to explore and research the world of work;
- Learn the value of informational interviews and networking;
- Learn the process of setting and achieving personal and professional goals
Please note this course has an optional follow-up session with a career specialist.

Registration Fee: There is no fee for this workshop.
No-Show and Late Cancellation Fees: There will be a charge equal to the registration fee to cover the cost of materials for no-shows and late cancellations (less than 5 business days prior to class). For classes with no registration fee, this charge is $50.
