The Washington University United Way Campaign is underway. This year, we aim to exceed our goal of $775,000.
Every fall, the university conducts an employee campaign to raise funds in support of the United Way of Greater St. Louis.
The United Way of Greater St. Louis supports more than 170 local agencies that help improve the lives of so many in the community. These agencies help provide food and shelter, establish financial stability, foster learning and improve health. Learn more about the United Way agencies.
“Through the WashU United Way Campaign, we have the opportunity to do something meaningful that brings people in our community hope and support,” said Amanda Pope, Human Resources communications and employee engagement manager.
In an effort to connect employees with each other and hundreds of local United Way Agencies, Human Resources continues to partner with the Gephardt Institute for Civic and Community Engagement to encourage volunteering. Sign up with a group of colleagues, or as an individual through the United Way’s Volunteer Center. To volunteer, you must sign up through StLVolunteer.org/wustl. The university will match up to a half day of work time for one instance during the Campaign. Learn more about WashU Engage.
Employees can make a difference in the St. Louis region through community engagement and generous pledges. Read more about the Campaign.
