Murder for Two

Join us for our first annual WashU Night with STAGES St. Louis for a special group event featuring discounted tickets to the regional premiere of the truly killer musical comedy – Murder for Two!
This performance is a hilarious murder-mystery-comedy-musical, with just two performers playing a total of 13 roles while accompanying themselves, and each other, on a centerstage grand piano! Join us for this 90-minute music-filled homage to classic murder mysteries and whodunits.

WashU has reserved a block of seats in the mezzanine of The Ross Family Theatre at The Kirkwood Performing Arts Center for the 7 p.m. performance on Saturday, May 31, 2025. All tickets will be assigned by STAGES Box Office based on the number of seats purchased and the accessibility needs of each employee. Tickets are non-refundable, non-exchangeable and include all fees in the price Parking is available at The Kirkwood Performing Arts Center as well as street parking and at other designated parking lots in the area. STAGES will share additional “Know Before You Go” details 24 hours prior to the performance. Employees are responsible for transportation fees and safety.
Ticket Distribution
All tickets will be held in will call at the Box Office at The Kirkwood Performing Arts Center and may be picked up from 6 – 6:50 p.m. on Saturday, May 31. The Box Office is located in the lobby. Concessions are available before the performance begins. Beverages and snacks may be taken into the theatre.
Show Summary
Officer Marcus Mosowicz, a small-town policeman aspiring to be a detective, seizes the chance to solve the murder of Great American Novelist, Arthur Whitney when the writer is shot at his own surprise birthday party. With the nearest detective an hour away, Marcus along with his silent partner Lou, must solve the case before the real detective arrives. Suspects range from Arthurs’s wife, Dahlia, to the prima ballerina, Barrette Lewis, the overly friendly psychiatrist, Dr. Griff, and a multitude of other characters.
