This course is a part of the Elevate series, a set of dynamic 90-minute sessions designed to elevate your skills and confidence to thrive in an ever-changing world. This development series equips employees with practical strategies and resources to navigate uncertainty, adapt to change, and drive success in any environment. Stay agile, stay ahead! 

Course Description: 
In today’s fast-paced and collaborative work environment, trust is a fundamental pillar that drives productivity, engagement, and teamwork. This course focuses on the importance of trust within organizations and equips participants with practical tools and strategies for fostering trust in the workplace. Attendees will learn how to build, maintain, and repair trust with colleagues, teams, and leadership, enhancing communication, collaboration, and overall organizational effectiveness. This 90-minute class provides actionable insights to strengthen workplace relationships and create a positive, trustworthy organizational culture. 

Target Audience :

  • This class is for all Washington University in St. Louis staff employees (Leading Self, Others, or the Organization )
  • Anyone looking to enhance their interpersonal skills, foster stronger team dynamics, and build a culture of collaboration, productivity, and engagement through the power of trust in the workplace. 

Workshop Objectives

By the end of this session, participants will be able to: 

  • Comprehend the critical role of trust in the workplace. 
  • Implement strategies for building trust with colleagues and teams. 
  • Develop techniques to maintain and strengthen trust over time. 
  • Apply methods for repairing trust when it is broken. 
  • Utilize trust-building strategies in everyday workplace scenarios. 

Facilitator:   Juman Al Bukhari, PhD, EdD – Senior Consultant, HR Learning and Development

With a background in professorship, research, and expertise in higher education leadership, along with a doctorate in the field, Juman enjoys delivering, facilitating, and teaching courses that develop WashU employees’ critical thinking, creativity, interdisciplinary collaboration, problem-solving, and communication skills. She incorporates theory and practice into her teaching to allow for practical exploration of real-life situations. Additionally, she actively fosters collaboration and strives to achieve organizational goals aligned with WashU’s mission and vision. 

No-Show and Late Cancellation Fees:  Cancellations received less than five (5) business days prior to scheduled class will result in a $50 cancellation fee charged to their department. If you’re no longer able to attend, please drop your registration in Workday Learning.
