In partnership with Bright Horizons Family Solutions, Washington University offers the Back-Up Care Advantage Program to assist eligible individuals in balancing the competing demands of life and work. The benefit provides back-up care for eligible individuals when they need to be at work and their regular child or elder/adult care is unavailable. More information

Washington University Family Learning Center

Opened in September 2010, the Washington University Family Learning Center is a 19,900-square foot facility located on North Campus at 840 Rosedale Avenue in University City. The Center offers space for 156 children, ages six weeks to six years. Managed by Bright Horizons Family Solutions, the Washington University Family Learning Center serves the children of current University faculty, academic and non-academic staff for whom WUSTL is the primary employer, and the children of full-time graduate and professional students. Bright Horizons Family Solutions manages more than 700 child care and early education centers, including approximately 30 higher education clients.

University City Children's Center

Washington University in St. Louis has long enjoyed an affiliation with the University City Children’s Center (UCCC). Located at 6646 Vernon Avenue in University City, UCCC is a nonprofit, United Way-supported agency committed to providing innovative quality education to and a nurturing environment for a racially, culturally, socioeconomically, and developmentally diverse population of children between six weeks and six years of age, while also providing supportive services to families. Child and Elder Care (CDCA)

Working families need quality child and elder care, but locating reputable care providers can be a challenging process. The Child Day Care Association (CDCA) offers professional Resource and Referral services to assist eligible Washington University employees in identifying care providers that meet their families’ needs. Infant Nursing Rooms

As part of our commitment to provide ongoing support for faculty and staff and their obligations both at work and beyond their jobs, Washington University provides infant nursing facilities throughout the Danforth, North, and West Campuses for use by new mothers as needed. More information
