Upcoming Long term care education sessions
Preparing for the cost of long term care is an important part of your financial planning. Legacy Services will host educational seminars on long term care insurance. They will conduct introductory and advanced sessions each day. You may attend one or both sessions. Sessions cover topics such as: the cost of long term care, how to determine if it is right for you, tax considerations, the role of Medicare and Medicaid, and keys to picking a carrier. What is Long Term Care Insurance?
Long term care insurance pays for home health care, assisted living and nursing home care to help people with the functions of day-to-day living like bathing, dressing, transferring and eating. Also covered are services related to rehabilitation, chronic illness and cognitive impairment.
Who is Legacy Services?
Legacy Services specializes in workplace programs for individual long term care insurance (LTCi). They are an independent agency representing several major carriers. Policies can be designed to individual needs, including daily maximums and duration period.
Phone consultations with a Legacy representative are available by appointment.
All benefits eligible and non-benefits eligible faculty and staff may apply for the long term care insurance. In addition, family members of faculty and staff are eligible to apply. All applicants must complete a Statement of Health and be approved by the insurance carrier before a policy will be issued.
