United Way of Greater St. Louis

With the widespread rain and flooding throughout the region, United Way 2-1-1 and the Volunteer Center have been activated. United Way is working with state, regional and local emergency managers to respond to emerging needs as a result of significant mass flooding in Missouri and Illinois.

United Way 2-1-1 is directing individuals to local shelters in areas most impacted. United Way’s Volunteer Center, STLVolunteer, has taken a lead role in the recruitment and coordination of volunteers for sandbagging in the areas most vulnerable to flooding. We are partnering with AmeriCorps – St. Louis, The Salvation Army, and American Red Cross to respond to the growing and changing needs.
